DAMAGE DESCRIPTION

The hanging sytem of the frame became loose and the artwork felt on the ground. It was framed with glass, that was broken and damaged the support of the print. The support is a very fine japanese paper. Some tears and small losses can be seen now on the paper. Also the paper has severe undulations on the sides due to a bad mounting on the passepartout with tape all over the sides. The mounting is really bad, with tape all over. The tape is not easy to deattach.  (tekst Paul Aleixandre Painting Conservation) 

BEHANDELING

-  Los gemaakt van achterkarton

-  Tape verwijderd

-  Ontbrekende deeltjes ingestukt met Japans papier en stijfsel

-  Zijkant  tape verwijderd en ingestukt met 2x 6 g/m2 Japans papier met Klucel G

-  Scheuren gerepareerd met Japans papier en stijfsel

-  Retouche aangebracht waar beeldstorend reparaties aan voor- en achterzijde

-  Vlakken
